About Ahuva

I am a licensed clinical social worker with a broad range of specialty areas.  I graduated from University of Maryland with a Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) in 2008.  Since that time, I have brought my genuine care and concern for the welfare of others to various professional environments.  My roles have included: program development for vulnerable populations in our communities, education management and curriculum development, substance abuse treatment, as well as individual, couple's, family and group therapy to address mental health issues and life transitions​​.

My approach is first and foremost client-centered.  I believe therapy is most effective in the context of a trusting, supportive therapeutic relationship. I use a combination of evidence based practices to assist my clients in reaching their goals.  These interventions include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) as well as Mindful based approaches.
